“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is a movie about a boy named Jacob Portman who discovers a mysterious beast has killed his grandfather, Abraham Portman. So he seeks out clues as to who killed his grandfather.

Jacob always thought the peculiar children that his grandfather told him about were just from his grandfather’s imagination so he looks for them to see if the children were actually real. He goes to the orphanage where the peculiar children used to live and made an excuse that there were many birds there because his father researched birds for his new book.

When he gets to the orphanage by himself, it was all broken down and nobody lived there.

Then weird things started happening and a few children took him. He finds out where the children take him is a time loop and he is stuck in the same two days.

He goes on an adventure with his new friends, the Peculiars, and finds out that he is also a peculiar. I would recommend this movie for ages 9 and up because there is some violence in the movie that is not for younger kids and it is PG-13. This movie is mostly a family movie and it is for boys and girls.

I really want to see this movie. My grandfather wanted to take me. I hope my parents let me rent it! They might not because I already rented 3 Harry Potter movies. Maybe my brother would watch if there is violence.
