Star Wars graphic stories collected

I just finished reading “Star Wars Vol .1 by Jason Aaron Illustrated by John Cassaday, Simone Bianchi, and Stuart Immonen,” a great graphic novel about Star Wars. It is collection of 12 issues put out by Marvel comics monthly during 2015. Written by Jason Aaron a popular author who has written for Marvel since 2001 these 12 issues put together make for a great read.

The stories take place after Episode 4 (A New Hope) and before Episode 5 (The Empire Strikes Back) in the Star Wars saga. It continues the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo , and Chewbacca, and their fight against the Galactic Empire. Our favorite villain shows up as well in a heavy helping of Darth Vader.

What I liked about this book is it kind of tells how Darth Vader found out about how Luke was his son. I also liked that it told how Han had a secret. I really liked how it had no cliffhangers. Like the new movie “The Force Awakens,” it ended and you had no idea what was going to happen next.

Realizing this is not a traditional novel this is a really great story and I found it hard to put down until I was finished. I recommend this book to all Star Wars fans everywhere. Marvel has put out a parallel series of the same story told from Darth Vader’s perspective I now want to get that one. Jason Aaron is a good writer; I want to read his other books that include Thor, Wolverine, and Doctor Strange.
