“Finding The Edge,” by US National Figure Skating Champion Karen Chen, is the true story of her life. She has always loved ice skating and at a young age she was in a lot of competitions.
Karen Chen had a brother named William who also loved ice skating. She had to go to early practices every morning. She usually spent more time on skating then school and she was kind of struggling. Her parents were very supportive in her skating life.
She got a bad injury in the middle of her skating career which Karen called a stump in the mud.
I think that this book is good for boys and girls because it shows that you should follow your dreams and never give up and that message goes for boys and girls. Karen never gave up. I also like this story because it’s a story that you can relate to.
