On my birthday I got to swim with manatees at Crystal River in Florida.! It was was a life changing experience! I wanted to stay there forever because the manatees were so cute!  I had to wake up at 6:00 a.m.

There was a parade of manatees! They were so cute!! We saw a baby manatee. The manatees in Crystal River  were  in a preserved area, so we weren’t allowed to pet them, but the manatees were allowed to pet us! Manatees pet us by rubbing up against us. The manatees petted a lot! When they did, their skin felt like elephant skin. At the end we saw a baby manatee.

I didn’t want to get out of the water, but my lips were turning blue. The best time to go is early morning in February. It’s so cold but so much fun!! I recommend swimming with the manatees. Even if you don’t like the cold it will probably be one of the best  experiences of your life. Especially,  if you do it with family.

If you swim with the manatees  when you’re a kid, you’ll tell your kids about it with every detail because you will remember it so well!!

Swimming with manatees sounds crazy! I have never been swimming with manatees and I don’t like manatees and it still sounds fun.
I hope you had a good time!

Nice blog Alexa! I would love to swim with the manatees. It sounds so fun because I would love to see baby manatees.
