“Mind-Boggling Animal Puzzles” by Vicki Whiting, is about animal facts. It contains information about different kinds of animals. It also, has many puzzles and challenges for you to do. I would certainly without any doubt give this book 10/10. This book has different types of ways to learn about an animal. For example, it has crossword puzzles, secret codes, games, mazes and much more.
One example of an animal that is in the book ‘Mind-Boggling Animal Puzzles’ is an orca or some say killer whale. Orcas eat fish, seals, sharks, and even other whales. However, they are not interested in eating people. These whales have 40 to 52 sharp teeth, each of which is about 3 inches or 8 cm long. As an orca gets older, it grows layers on the outside of its teeth. From the land, the whale’s black and white pattern may not look like good camouflage but it is. It helps the orca sneak up on its prey.
Another animal is a shark. Sharks come in many shapes and sizes. Some have stripes while others have spots. Some types of sharks are the Great White Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Thresher Shark, Leopard Shark, and the Sand Tiger Shark.
The last animal I will be mentioning here is the tiger. Every tiger has stripes that are unique to that individual tiger. Tigers are one of the few members of the cat family that love to swim. They’re good swimmers and will plunge into rivers and stream sand cool off. The average Tiger weighs about 450 pounds. One type of Tiger is the Siberian Tiger that lives in the icy northern lands of Siberia. Its fur is a light yellow-brown color and it has fewer stripes than other tigers. Hunting and loss of habitat greatly decreased the Siberian Tiger population. In 1981 there were only about 150 Siberian Tigers left. Today, the number of Siberian Tigers in the wild is around 500 thanks to protection programs.
This book is good for every gender and the age that I would recommend this book for is 8+. This book can help you learn so much about animals. It can help you in case you have a science test coming up and you’re learning about animals you can read this. Or if you want to learn more about one specific animal then you should 100% read this book.
