The Whispering Wars
In the book, “The Whispering Wars” by Jaclyn Moriarty, there are two narrators, Honey Bee, a rich girl from Brathelthwaite Boarding School and Finlay, an orphan boy from the Orphanage School. The town is called Spindrift, west of the Empire of Witchcraft.
Today is the big day! Today is the day of the Spindrift Tournament, an athletic tournament, with schools in Spindrift competing for a trophy. It’s the orphans vs. the rich kids and the winner is the Orphans! Nope. The orphans are supposed to win but for some reason they lose. During the tournament Jaskafar a little orphan boy is stolen! The orphans are really angry.
All the people in town are now looking for the stolen boy, except for the Brathelthwaite kids. The orphans are upset and start a prank war. During this prank war orphans and Braithwaite kids see a mysterious pair of kids. One boy and one girl, staring at the two sides. Both sides believe it’s the other side that sent spies to them to gather information.
The rich kids and the orphans meet each other and find out that neither the orphans nor the rich kids sent spies. Meanwhile there is an outbreak of influenza going around. Both the rich kids and the orphans trap the two spies and find out that they are time travelers.
This book is a real page turner and is full of adventure. This book is really long (about 400 pages). I recommend this book to 5-7 graders because of the length. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I give this book a 10 out of 10 rating.
This book seems very interesting great review! Also, who is the girl on the bottom left on the front cover?
This is just the kind of book I need. Adventure, disease, pranks, I love it! 10/10 would read.
This seems like a really good book! I love long books, even if others don’t like me reading 400-1200 pages heh! Reading this review makes me want to get the book.
Great review!! It has lots of detail and sounds like a great book. I actually wanted to write a review for this book.
