I became interested in astrology when I saw an astrology book at the store. My interest developed as I began to research astrology and read an astrology book of my own. I am delighted to write this for you to read so I can share what I’ve learned about astrology with you.

Astrology is a field of study, but it’s also a tool to learn more about yourself and others. According to well-known astrologer Lee Lehman, astrology is a belief system, rather like religion. You don’t have to believe in astrology, but it’s good to know a little about it. It can affect our lives by giving us advice. If we follow astrology’s advice, we could feel better. Think of astrology like this: there are 12 doors in a circle. This is called a horoscope. Behind each door of the horoscope lives the people of each Star Sign. The signs are: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces. Each type of person has different traits.

So how did astrology start? Citing Lee Lehman, history and culture divide astrology into 3 main regions: Eastern, Western, and Oriental. Ancient Babylonians made the first horoscope. The Chinese started looking up at the sky and made their own horoscope, and soon this spread across the world! Eventually someone made the horoscope we know today. In this blog, I am focusing on Western astrology.

Your Star Sign depends on your birthday. Take a look at the table I created.

While I was researching, I found out something interesting: there is a 13th and 14th star sign! I found this out too: I am the 13th sign! If you were born between November 29 and December 17, you are an Ophiuchus! This sign is usually left out of the zodiac (another word for horoscope) because some people think it isn’t a real star sign.

The 14th sign is called Cetus and it’s only eight days long, from March 21 and March 28. It is forgotten for the same reason!

Each star sign has its own color, planet, symbol, flower, and key phrase. They also have an element. The elements are earth, air, fire, and water. People with fire elements are more likely to be energetic and brave, while water is calmer and more sensitive. This is an example of how elements can influence one’s Star Sign.

Astrology and astronomy are related. Astronomy, the study of space, is the mother of astrology. One can discover a new Star Sign by just looking up at the sky. Astrology has a lot to do with the position of the stars, the Sun, and other heavenly bodies. The Sun and Moon are even considered ruling planets!

I look forward to your comments and, if you are interested in astrology, I will post more. Thanks and goodbye!!
